Thallus :

Corticolous, pendulous, filamentose branches to 60 cm long, several meters long in nature, pale yellow, greyish green to light brownish; 0.5-1 mm in diam.

Lobes :

Lateral branchlets dense, perpendicular, 2-5 cm long

Upper Side:

Surface of filamentose branches usually decorticated, rarely pulverulent to powdery, cortex of lateral branchlets persistent, cracked near base

Isidia :

Soredia or isidia present

Lower Side :

Medulla :

Rare, to 5 mm in diam., margin ciliate

Apothecia :

8 x 6 µm

Ascospores :

Central axis solid, colorless, I+ blue
